This auction is for a 1959 Transition Badge Ludwig Bass Drum wrapped in original Black Diamond Pearl. 22" x 14" - 3ply mahogany shell with maple reinforcement rings. A 1970's Ludwig tom mount has been added requiring the badge position to be moved forward. There is an extra hole above the badge that has been plugged with a wood dowel, it's completely covered by the hoop however. A Ludwig cymbal mount has also been added. There are two vacant holes for the rail consolette and 4 holes (2 on each side) for the direct mount spurs that are original factory drilled holes. Consolette and spurs are not included. The Classic lugs are all nickel plated. 10 of the T's & claws are also nickel and the other set of 10 are chrome. The hoops are nice quality modern wood hoops. The batter bearing edge is excellent the front has some dings from being played without the head. The Black Diamond still looks great and the drum sounds awesome. Super clean.
