vintage 1960-1963 ludwig bass pre serial # 16, 22 drum welcome to the thumbster5 store. up for auction today a early early ludwig 1960-1963 pre serial numbers 15 x22 big boy 2 sided bass that has the keystone badge. it is authentic. i know for sure that measuring the drum properly is 22" but i always thought that the width was 14 or 16" this one is like 15 1/2" i guess that rounds up to 16" has the old school wood rims on the front and back. the only part that is damaged is w the foot pedals and feet attached to the drum. You get the foot pedal also. ludwig patented 1909 the " ludwig pedal patents pend" even though this is a rare drum t is normal wear and tear that a fifty year old item will have. we did see one part on the bottom side that the finish had tiny stress cracks in it but we didn't see any when drum was standing upright.. we won't mention every little scratch but this isn't a brand new drum. anything major we would have mentioned. needs a good cleaning and polishing. extremely hard to find drum....thanks for your interest. .we will take plenty of pictures and thanks so much for looking. has the wood grained inside... about my items- i purchase items at garage sales, flea markets, estate sales and auctions. due to this every once in a while i have a customer that writes back and says that the item smells like smoke. read more
