Vintage 1960s Ford Motor Company Shaggy Dog Bank Dealership Promotion Vintage figural ceramic advertising coin bank made for Ford Motors by Florence Ceramics of Pasadena in the 1960s. It is in the shape of a shaggy dog. There is no mark on the bottom noting "Florence Ceramics, Pasadena" but some identical models often did have the mark. Measurements: Height = 7, Width (at head) = 4.25, Front to back = 3.5. CONDITION : NEAR MINT. No nicks, chips, cracks, or evidence of repair on the dog itself but there is a wee chip on the slot where the money is placed. the cork or rubber plug is missing. These banks were intend to be broken when full in order to count your savings effort. Thus, it is getting harder and harder to find these darling banks!
