Vintage 1961 Jaguar XKE 1/8 Scale Model Car Kit by Monogram from 1976 Very rare Model is complete and unassembled. Parts have never been removed from factory plastic bags. Original instructions included Box shows age wear. Doors open and close Shock absorbers work Windows go up and down Front wheels steer Molded in 4 colors plus clear and plated parts 1/8 the actual size of the real car! The announcement of the Jaguar XKE in the spring of 1961 probably caused more excitement among sports car enthusiasts than any other car. The XKE is a car that truly appeals to almost everyone who appreciates a fine automobile. The aerodynamically designed body of the monocoque construcion is tailored of steel with a front subframe of box section to support the engine and front suspension. The rear suspension is independent, giving the car a soft ride in addition to superb handling qualities. Although the long lithe lines of this dramatice motor car cause excitement at a glance, the total appreciation requires a look at the mighty heart that beats within. Under the massive hood Jaguar lovers will immediately recognize an old friend.
