This is a vintage menu from NOvember 6, 1965 from a very popular Worcester Massachusetts Diner. Messier's Diner on 49-53 Millbury Street. This menu is a heavy cardboard style measures 11 1/2" x 9" and is from Messier's Shell room which (I found on the internet the section which has seat backs shaped like shells). The menu has writing along the top in pencil, ie date and a mans name. It has some grease marks and rust , minor dirt spots. Yellowing with age. Overall good condition as it is from smoke free home and carefully stored these many years. Inside menu has inked in price changes ie The Lobster Imprerial is $5. Also part of the menu is an add on paper list insert typed with specials and other foods. Also there was a tab for the hot pastrami sandwich 65 cents and Minimum charge paper 50 cents table service only. Without the paper insert, the menu is a tri fold, ie folds out in 3 sections. Back cover has the drinks menuesThe Mass tax is listed as 5 % Old Age Tax (never heard of our food taxes called that). AN interesting trip to the past. Mailing is free by first class mail envelope.
