Vintage Swedish hand-embroidered tapestry measuring nearly 22in long, excluding fringe and 8in wide (or 56cm x 206½cm).There is a slot the top for a hanger to slide through. The picture is worked on a bright turquoise background in satin-stitch. The colours are typical of the 1970s and include fuschia pink, orange, sage green and navy blue.The wall hanging is in very good condition. It is so clean that it is likely that it was never displayed and the colours are as fresh as they were when this tapestry was done.My elderly Swedish mother-in-law has just moved into our house and she has a huge collection of tapestries, most of which were done either by herself or her mother-in-law. But she now wants to downsize, so I will be listing several more of these tapestries over the next few weeks, all in excellent condition.Thank you for looking at my listing and do check out my other items for sale.
