This came out of an estate , the family selling the contents of the estate said their mom had this painting commissioned by Margaret Keane of her favorite poodle.She had gone to San Francisco with the dog in 1977. Size of actual painting 6 1/2 in. x 6 1/2 in. square. It looks like oil on some type of board/cold pressed paper?. The paint is raised/thick on a lot of areas.Small smudge on lower left on the matting. Painting itself is excellent.Original wormwood frame also very good and the back is also all original, never taken apart. Can take to San Francisco to authenticate by Robert Brown director at the Keane Eyes gallery/see website-www.keane-eyes .Guarenteed authentic.
