Vintage 1978 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 'Pro'. This guitar appears to have spent much of it's life in it's case - Really great shape for it's age, considerable gloss remains on the finish, and the neck and hardware are perfect. The 'Pro' version of the LP Deluxe has a couple of important features - first and most obvious, Gibson P-90 pickups. These pickups sound big and full. They can cover a wide range from Jazz to Country to Rock. Secondly, the 'Pro' has an Ebony fretboard (like the Les Paul Deluxe) which has a bit more presence than the rosewood fretboard found on the regular Deluxe. Finally, the 'Pro' has a solid Mahogany body with Maple cap, and not the pathetic 'Pancake' body found on the cheaper Norlin Gibsons at the time - this was, and is more than ever, a real player's guitar. Neil Schon used a Deluxe Pro on many of the Journey Mega-hits during the 80s - great tone and sustain. The guitar is in great overall shape. A few light impressions on the top, very light wear on the back, overall a 9/10 easy. All normal wear, and minimal for it's age. I've noticed that the output jack may need to be cleaned up - it can occasionally be a little scratchy depending on which guitar cables I use - I haven't had time to open it up and clean it. The neck is straight, and very fast. The frets are wide and low, no buzz at all - a True 'Fretless
