This auction is for one Vintage No 1A Folding Pocket Kodak Camera with Manual. Camera produced between 1912 and 1915 by Eastman Kodak in the USA - note the black bellows - camera serial number is 175795. The camera is equipped with a Acromatic Single Meniscus lens (120mm) with variable aperture setting by lever at the side of the lens labeled 1 - 4. There is a Pocket Automatic Shutter with speeds of B, T, and I. Uses 116 rollfilm and produces 2½ x 4½ inch pictures. One distinctive feature is that the bed is self erecting with twin spring struts. Also the bed has a domed front door whcih gives a little pot-bellied appearance to the camera when closed. The body is wood with a leather covering. The camera has a reflecting pivoting viewfinder. Camera purchased at an estate sale. Cosmetically, the camera is in good+ external condition - the leather covering shows rub wear but is intact. Inside the camera is clean. Functionally, the camera has not been tested or evaluated by a camera shop and is being sold "As-Is". We had trouble removing the roll holder for loading. Setting levers for speed and aperture work smoothly. Bellows are in good condition. Bed works fairly smoothly. Film advance and shutter works smoothly at all speeds. Manual is in very good condition High Bidder will please prepay plus shipping costs. Payment in US$ must be read more
