You are bidding on a Vintage c. 1930's Art Deco Blackamoor Queen Bust Figural Rhinestone Pot Metal Brooch Pin. These highly desirable vintage Blackamoor figural pieces are hard to come by as they were scarcely made and commonly collected.In addition, the brooch is en vogue with Spring/Summer 2008 gray color. This bold brooch is in a Blackamoor queen bust motif with an Art Deco figural style. T is a gray pot metal base frame to the brooch. T are 5 rich colors of bezel-set rhinestones of 2 sizes and 2 shapes (larger pears and smaller rounds) on the brooch. Both of these shapes and sizes are seen bejeweling her headdress in red, purple, blue, yellow and green, topped by the finest "ruby" in the kingdom. Three of the most regal colored pears then make up the gem encrusted fringe collar at her neckline. Notable detail has been given to the shape and flow of her hair, so as to artfully employ the angularity and swirl of the Art Deco genre. Finally, she is displaying the largest pair of "gold and diamond" earrings in the land, as they freely swing and dangle from her overly pierced ears.The overall effect is that of a stoic tribal queen calmly contemplating the next eloquent demand to be made of her loyal subjects.
