STUNNING VINTAGE 1930'S DECO-ERA RHINESTONE COLLAR NECKLACE DONE IN AN EXOTIC EGYPTIAN STYLE, SET IN LOOPS OF GIANT STONES SURROUNDED BY SCALLOPS OF TINIES, AND GRADUATED DOWN IN CURLS AT THE HIDDEN, BACK CLASP. DESCRIPTION : This is a wonderfully bold necklace from the vintage 1930's Art Deco era. In that age of the discovery of Tut and all the Egyptian Goddesses, it colluded with the Speakeasy era of women's freedoms, style, flowing designs, and this piece is a crowning glory to that. It's brief, being a collar to snug up to the neckline, but sooo showy, because the stones are a riot of rainbow sparkles in bigass sets that drop down from little-bitty scallops, and all set in a simple framework, linear, clean, and sooo of-the-period. Amazingly, it’s not a signed piece, but then again, such was the high-life of this Speakeasy-daring era, and the lushness of glittah and glam just abounded. Nonetheless, it’s a finely-made piece, with each sparkling stone prong-set into sturdy metal that has not tarnished or marred over time. Nice-nice. MEASUREMENTS : The inner circumference measures 14" around, as it sits right there, high on the collarbone, sensual, and the outer circle is 15-1/2," slowly graduating out to lay flat there, illuminating the face. The front stones are an amazing 1/2" wide each, graduating down to 1/4"at the back. read more
