Up for auction is an antique men's 32nd Level Masonic ring. My grandfather bought the ring new, and handed it down to my father , who passed away recently and left it to me. It currently does not have a stone , but it held a 1.42 carat diamond. (I had the stone removed and mounted in a different ring.) The ring size is approx. 10 1/2. As shown in the photos, the Masonic double-headed eagle appears on both sides of the ring. On one side is the number 32, indicating the thirty-second degree of the Scottish Rite. On the other side is the Greek letter "rho". (Someone wrote to tell me that this is actually the Hebrew letter "yod" or "yud". I stand corrected.) I have searched all over the Internet, and have not found another ring like it. The ring is stamped 14k - Sorry, but I couldn't get a clear photo of the stamp. The ring weighed 16.05 grams with the stone. A 1.42 carat stone weighs 0.284 grams, so the net weight of the ring is approximately 15.766 grams. My father had the ring appraised in 1995, and it confirms the details I've listed A copy of the appraisal can be found at http://samcham./Appraisal.jpg . (500k file...Please be patient.)
