Up for auction is this great old 48 star flag made of silk with embroidered stars. The flag measures 3âe(tm) x 4âe(tm) 7âe to the end of the gold fringe which surrounds it and is attached to a wooden pole that when together measures about 8 ft. The pole looks to be a dark stained pine and comes apart into 2 pieces by unscrewing the brass collars on the pole. My guess is that this flag was a ceremony or hall flag that would be used indoors since it is made of silk. T should have been an ornamental piece (like an eagle) on the top of the pole but it is missing. The flag itself is in good condition with no holes or tears but t quite a few stains on it. I charge actual shipping costs plus one dollar to help with the costs of packing materials. Insurance is recommended but optional. I do try to pack my items well but I have seen what the postal service can do to a package. As the seller I am not responsible for items shipped without insurance.
