Up for auction is a gorgeous 5 pc matching Eastlake parlor set that came from a wealthy estate from Akron, Oh. The set consist of: one settee, one captain's chair and three regular chairs. It is made of walnut with elaborate wood decorations. It is upholstered in a red felt with button-tuft backs on all the pieces and on the curved arms of the settee. The fabric is attached with gimp using brass decorative nails, framing the backs and seats of all the pieces. All of the backs are covered in the same material. The settee measures: 24" deep, 41-3/4" tall (up to the decorated wood top on the back) and 63" wide (from arm to arm). The captain's chair is: 24" deep, 24-1/2" wide (from arm to arm) and 40" tall. The three other chairs are: 17" deep, 19-1/2" wide and 36" tall. The settee has four wheels as does the captain's chair and the three chairs have front wheels, as they were originally designed. All of the pieces have some sort of short white hair on them, they were like that when we purchased them. I have sticky rolled most of it off but they will need cleaned. The settee has a small ¼" tear in the fabric but would be easily fixed, the rest of the piece is in very good condition. The captain's chair has some nicking/marking on the one arm, some sanding and stain should take care of it, the rest is in very good condition. The three read more
