Vintage 50's era Harley Davidson motorcycle cap. This is an authentic cap of black denim type fabric with a hard bill. Not sure if it's leather. It's a newsboy, captain style cap, with cording around the front of the sweatband area and a Harley emblem above that on the cap. It has 2 grommet vents on each side of the cloth cap area. The inside measurement is 21-1/4". There is no size indicated. It has a leather sweatband and at the center back, inside the band is a label "United Hatters Cap & Millinery ? ? ?" And "? ? Union" The question marks indicate letters I can't read. The inside of the cap has the Harley emblem also. The bill has some scratches as you can see and there's a crack on one corner and in the binding around the edge of the bill. The stitching is broken on the binding. You can see threads still on the top of the binding, but on the underneath side there is no stitching left. However, it isn't loose. It has definitely been worn as you can see by the wear on the sweatband. This is a great old Harley Davidson collectible for you to display or actually wear and enjoy. Our items come from a smoke free home and there is no smoke odor from the hat. Payment is expected within 7 days of the end of the auction.
