From a smoke-free/pet-free home this auction is for a VINTAGE choker necklace that belonged to my mom-my dad bought it for her in the late 1950's. The total length of the piece is approx. 7-1/2 inches-CLASPED. The double strand of pearls measures 6-1/2 inches long and has a slide clasp and the stoned pendant is set in rhodium and measures approx. one inch in diameter and is composed of both baguette shaped clear rhinestones and pave set clear round rhinestones-no clouding. The rainbow hued faceted center stone measures 3/4 inches in diameter and still retains its luster and color even after 50 years!! This piece comes with the original hinged blue felt case with blue satin lining, measures 8 x 6 x 2-1/2 and is clearly marked "Elgin American". NOTHING is missing, broken or discolored on either the necklace or the case. In LIKE NEW/MINT condition. A lovely piece of jewelry from a time when costume jewelry was made with high quality materials-not like the " stuff " we have today. If you are a collector of vintage jewelry you will not be disappointed. PAYPAL ONLY-ALL SALES FINAL If you're in the market for a unique holiday gift this BEAUTIFUL necklace might be what you're looking for. I will be ending all my Ebay business for 2008 on Dec. 1st-SHOP EARLY!!>
