Vintage 9ct Yellow and White Gold Diamond Star / Snowflake Ring Offered for sale is a vintage estate diamond yellow/white gold Engagement Ring / Dress ring circa 1970s. The diamonds are displayed in an unusual setting reminiscent of a snowflake / star. This piece is in great condition, no damage to any of the stones, however there is minor wear to the illusion setting which is expected in a vintage piece. Inspection of the claws holding the diamonds reveals that they are all intact, securely holding each of the diamonds. This ring details the central diamond within an illusion setting in 9ct white gold, surrounded by 4 smaller genuine diamonds (not fakes or enhanced pieces). All diamonds are brilliant cut as far as I can determine. Total diamond weight is approximately 5 points. The central diamond is very clear and sparkly measuring approximately 2mm across while the 4 surround diamonds each measure approximately 1mm. The shoulders detail flaring toward the top of the setting. The ring is stamped at the base of the shank and I have checked the markings against the assay register which reveals that the ring is 9ct and produced in Birmingham England around 1978.
