Offered here are three great little items, especially if you collect advertising materials for farms, or if you want to raise some corn and chickens!The first booklet pictured measures about 6 inches by 9 inches, contains page after page of advertising and rules and instructions for raising, breeding chickens and harvesting their eggs. It appears to be published by the Stock Yards Veterinary Laboratory in Kansas City, Missouri, and was printed in 1918. It has quite a bit of military "slant" to it, as many pages reference the "war" on chicken pests, or sending "slackers into service" on one page, referring to chickens that don't produce enough, or not at all. There is even a couple of pages torn out of a sales brochure featuring several different breeds of chickens, including Golden Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, and White Wyandottes. On the back page of one of the pages is an advertisements for free rabbits, and one for a Complete Military Outfit for Boys. Seems you could get these items for free for selling "Garden-Spot" seeds at 10 cents a packet.
