Up for your consideration is a STUNNING VINTAGE WEST GERMANY ALT-GRENZAU 1894 BEER STEIN MUG. This stein is in excellent condition. Features a lovely village scene with a man courting a woman. Below the mug handle it states in German: O schone Zeif o selge Zeif, wie liegst du fern, wie liegst du weif. Colors are in wonderful earth tones. Green, red, blue, brown, tan, cream, white and pink. The stein is in a blow out relief style. The numbers 1265 is incised on the outside in the middle inside of the handle. Makers mark is stamped on the inside of the pewter lid. Stamped on the bottom is WESTERN GERMANY ALT-GRENZAU 1894 and the number 6 and 11. Very minor paint loss exists. Measures 9" high by 4 3/4" wide including the handle. Guarenteed to be authentic. What a great addition this Alt-Grenzau beer stein would make to any beer/stein collectors collection and a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays. All items are sold as is.
