Vintage Ambassadeur 5000A 4 Screw Low S# 444072 Prev Stop Play Next Please read complete description and instuctions below to avoid problems This auction is for a Vintage Ambassadeur 5000A. Made in Sweden . This is an early sixties 4 Screw model. The Serial Number 444072. The 5000A's were not stamped as such on the reels. What made the 5000A was simply the large capacity spool. ABU never listed the early 5000A's in their Napp och Nytt. Garcia first began cataloging them in 1957 (info furnished by Vintage Reels of Sweden by Daniel Skupien). Early 5000A's were not as common as the "Standard Spool" 5000. Cosmetically the reel is in Very Nice Condition as you can see in the photos. T is a small bit paint loss mainly on the inside frame at the top. The chrome frame is in excellent condition with no flaking or rust. Mechanically the reel works perfect. In my opinion this is a Collector Quality reel but again someone else may not think so. Look at the photos and you decide. It is still a Great Reel for using if you desire to do so. These reels will out perform and outlast many of the newer reels on todays market, I guarantee it. The reel was cleaned and properly lubed before storing. No parts were replaced. Everything on the reel is original. I clean my reels simply because if a reel is placed in storage and not cleaned and lubed first bad things tend to happen. In Perfect working order. . At .99 start price you can't go wrong. The low start bid does not mean the reel is not worth much more. It just helps me save a little money on listing fees. You won't be disappointed in this reel I guarantee it with full refund warranty (see conditions below).
