The patent dates this to 1949. The legs are anodized aluminum. Can get very tall (63" fully extended). Beautiful condition. The aluminum is shiny and not all oxidized. The gear mechanism works very smoothly. I mounted my modern digital camera on this...so whatever thread size that is (it must be universal from vintage cameras to today). Collapses down to only 22 3/4". Great for function or a vintage photographic display.
