Being Offered is an Exquisite Vintage "Ansonia" Brass Mantel Clock which i recently purchased at an estate auction along with many other clocks and parts which i will be listing periodically. The clock is not working at this time and may need to be oiled or cleaned to function because the movement looks to be in tact. The gong is in excellent working condition striking on command every hour and 1/2 hour loud with clearity. The bezel, clock hands and door are all in excellent condition showing little to no wear and the brass clock face in very good condition showing little wear. The two turn keys are in excellent condition and wind properly with the brass clock key included. The heavy brass clock case is in very good condition and shows great age with lots of patina but should polish up real nice if desired, the finish on this clock has not be touched because most collectors prefer the patina. The front of the clock has a magnificant cut-out or engraved floral leaf design with a shield in the center. The brass door on the back is in good condition with no dings or dents and the lead pendulum is in very good condition fully in tact. The inside of the clock case is hallmarked 249, the inside of the backdoor 247.49.50 and the clock movement Ansonia Clock Co. New York.
