** Rediculously Low Starting Bid and No Reserve, as always! *** is something really special to brighten your home or business this winter.. A rare, 1930's Motion Lamp from Scene-In-Action Chicago, Illinois, USA Little Cabin in Burning Woods This antique motion lamp is made of art/picture glass shade and beautiful fancy brass ! The outer shade is painted with a glorious painting/print of an old growth forest witha little log cabin nestled below the towering firs. When you turn on the lamp, you see the raging forest fire which threatens the cabin.. The motion makes the flames leap and lick the trees as smoke billows in the darkened sky. The sky actually shifts in color! It is truly magnificent! The lamp also contains another shade inside which is just behind the glass shade. It is celuloid, and adds details to the realistic fire effects. T is also a "spinning shade" which sits upon a pin, mounted above the lightbulb. The heat turns this shade, and the action really gets going! 3 shades in all create effects that are absolutley extraordinary to watch. It also contains the hard to find, original metal incense holder, which nests between shade and brass top to add scented oil or burning incence to the romance of this incredible find! (It is not pictured, but will be packaged with the lamp) When you burn incense in it and the lamp it on, you get real smoke rising from the top! Imagine the look on peoples faces when they see the very realistic forest fire effects and then see real smoke wisping up from the lamp! This is the only model of motion lamp I have ever heard of to have this feature.. The brass detailing of base and top piece is a fine example of this era of lamp design, and very lovely as well. You will love and cherish this lamp, as will your family and friends. These lamps are excellent conversation peices, and look great in a tea house or office reception area. I guarantee people will ask about that incredible lamp, and comment on it's beauty... All parts of this lamp are original.It is complete with no missing parts. The outer glass shade and picture look fabulous, and are in excellent condition. The other two shades are in very good condition and work well. The inner spinner shade has had minor repair to reconnect cardbord top to celuloid shade. The electric cord is original and although it works, is in definite need of replacement for safety. It is very worn, but can be easily replaced. I have left it as original for the museum quality display possibilities, as some collectors may prefer it this way for non electric display. Brass lamp base looks very fine and all around this is an excellent lamp in fine working condition. Will be prized by anyone who owns it for sure!
