Antique Bicycle Cyclometer Made by the New York Standard Watch co. in the late 1800's If you live outside of the US. you must contact me prior to bidding or bid will be cancelled! Here's an extremely Nice,and Rare item for the Antique bicycle collector. This cyclometer was made by the New York Standard Watch co. and is marked so on the Nice, White Porcelain Dial. Each mark on the dial is 100th of a mile.There are three holes in dial marking single miles, tens, Hundreds, and Thousands of miles. Picture 1 shows cyclometer on 10 miles. when star wheel is turned counterclockwise as it would be by a small stud on spoke. The blued pointer on outside of dial moves around clockwise. One rotation is a mile. I advanced it for another picture so you could see it does work. Shows 11 miles now. A original box for one of these recently sold on e-bay with directions showing how to mount, reset, etc. Type in Antique cyclometer. Then I have copied directions and will be included with this cyclometer. Marked on the back, Pat. April 23 '95 28" This piece is in about as nice of condition as one could hope for. No Cracks to Porcelain Dial. Case is in Nice condition, not dented and retains all plateing. Screws holding dial, and pointer have Nice clean original Blueing. No Rust. I do not have the stud that attachs to spoke, but one could easily be made. read more
