This is a gorgeous brass centerpiece, fruit bowl, mantle or buffet piece - It is 8" tall and 17" wide at the top. Large bowl is supported by a swan holding on to a twig or tree limb. Side handles are stylized fish. I am not sure of the age. When we bought it we thought it was antique and then some but when we cleaned it up we thought it might be vintage to antique. It is in much better condition than we first imagined. We did use brass polish on it, very carefully and it cleaned up beautifully. Has a few spots to the finish and a few discolored areas. All minimal. The major staining and problem is inside the bowl where someone used florist's clay to adhere some sort of arrangement in it. We have not gotten all of it off and when it stuck it did discolor the finish some. It is a gorgeous piece. It came out of an abandoned storage unit sold at auction near Houston. Much of the things in it were upscale.
