I am pleased to offer you this lovely antique bisque German doll head. There is no body just the head with wig & hat in this auction. Measures about 6" tall incised "Simon & Halbig, G B." I measured from the top front rim of head to neck with tape measure, if I measure from the sides it is a little over 5". Measuring around the head above the brow area is 11" around. I do not see any cracks or hairlines on this bisque socket head. There is plaster cement throughout inside this bisque head, possibly to secure sleepy eyes on rocker. If any repair was made I do not see it. Bottom neck hole is about 1/4". She has a beautiful face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted black lashes around the eyes, brown brows and open mouth with upper teeth. Her eyes are the same size with the same features but each a "different" color blue. Eyes show a little wear, you may wish to replace them, up to you. Lovely blush on her "near perfect" face. Included is her old brunette human hair wig, no longer a pate. Wig shows wear, some hairs out of place but is old and charming. Wig and hat go with this doll head. I have this head displayed on a shoulder plate which is "not included" in this auction. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
