For your bidding pleasure a 1957 vintage sign for Mello Buttercup ice cream. This sign hung at a shop near the ocean for years. It used to be my job to clean it every day. The owner of Mello Buttercup tried to buy it back several times. When the shop closed I saved it from being auctioned off for $20. 00. It used to be my job to clean it every day. The owner of Mello Buttercup tried to buy it back several times. When the shop closed I saved it from being auctioned off. I left the auction sticker on it all these years, and after carefully removing it, left a slight tiger stripe transfer in the paint as can be seen on one of the pictures. There are minor scratches and marks. One circular rub that can be seen in one of the full pictures. It has a small bump on one side, and has wear around the edges. The person who gave it to us said the "4-57" represented the date, but it could be older. I have had it in my possession for over 25 years. It measures 36" x 24" and is printed on both sides. I will pack it in framed crate with a cardboard box over it. This description has been updated because the first attempt didn't carry over all the info on ebay mobile.�
