Just one of inkFrog's Creations :: Description ***Up for auction is this wonderful old Saltillo blanket rug. One of the finest I have seen, this gorgeous rug has an ivory background with charcoal and black patterns. Along with the highly detailed floral pattern along the sides, top and bottom of this rug that surrounds a geometric inner border, the center motif looks like a roadrunner or rooster dashing across the desert surrounded by even more flowers. Carefully hand woven with a nice tight and even weave, this rug is quite large at 77 inches long and 50 inches wide (6 ft 5 in x 4 ft 2 in). These measurements do not include the fringe on either end. Condition is excellent with no sign of use or wear. It has never been exposed to the sun and has no musty or dusty odor.
