OLD RAC SIGN I know nothing about the history of this sign, other than I found it stuffed down the side of the garden shed with some old roof tiles when we moved into this house nearly 3 years ago. The previous owner knew nothing about where it had come from and didn't want it. It's a blue enamel RAC sign in a diamond shape. The middle of the sign has a white circle with a laurel wreath pattern and at the top is a crown. In the middle of the circle it says RAC. The A is the biggest letter and the R and C are slightly on top of the A. Underneath the circle it says GET YOU HOME SERVICE. Please note - there is some rusting to the sign, please see the photos. This is a heavy sign, not like the modern repro signs, so I do think it's genuine, but it has to be sold "as seen" because I know nothing about it. The straight edges measure eight and three quarter inches long. Measuring across the front, corner to corner, measuring to the "points", it measures 11 inches long. The sign weighs 1 pound.
