Antique Broadcast Receiver by World Radio Corporation Description Antique 1924 Broadcast Receiver by World Radio Corporation USA. Rare item from the golden age of radio. TRF without manual regenerative (feed-back) control. 2 AF-stages. 3 tuned AM circuits, Broadcast only (MW). Power would have been provided by a storage or dry battery supply (not included). This set has no built-in loudspeaker. It requires a separate loudspeaker or headset. Case is made of wood with a bakelite faceplate. Uses 5 UV201 tubes. Overall condition is pretty good for it’s age. There are some scratches on the wood finish mainly on the top, and the unit could use an overall cleaning. Bakelite faceplate should come up nicely with a little work. One of the 5 UV201 tubes is missing, but these can be found very easily. Set has not been tested and is sold “As-Is”.
