Vintage Art Deco Grindley Hand Painted Tureen Here we have for auction a beautifully hand painted vegetable tureen by Grindley's - the backstamp dates the piece to the 1930s and it is also stamped CWS Longton. The design is of red poppies, with a painted poppy forming the handle on the tureen's lid. It is in good condition, apart from one tiny chip underneath the tureen. The painted poppies are crisp and clear, though the green colouring around the rim of both the lid and the main dish is faded and worn, as are small sections of the glaze around the rim of the lid where it comes into contact with the main dish. It measures 9.5 inches across and 4 inches high. Any questions, please ask. IMPORTANT!!
