Offered for auction is a WHIMSICAL and charming art deco era pierced carved PRE-BAN IVORY Pendant and beaded chain. This is genuine pre ban ivory .... it is not celluloid like some pieces of the era. This lovely necklace is large .... the pendant measure 2 7/8" long x 1 4/4" across. The chain 19 1/2" long wearable length. The detail is amazing, the scene features a mythical faun playing his flute for a mesmerized bunny and birds overhead chirping in the trees. The ivory is well grained and has a lovely patina.
