ART DECO COMPACT Description This auction is for a vintage Elgin American rouge and powder compact. The compact is cream enamel and silver. On the top of the lid is a small blue badge for the world fair that reads 1933 A CENTURY OF PROGRESS CHICAGO The compact is 8.5cm x6.5cm with the original mirror. The inside of the compact has compartment for rouge and a larger one for powder. Both compartments shut and clasps work. The compact has been used and has marks commensurate with age but I would say that the overall the compact is in good condition.
