Vintage Art Deco Mission Style Natural Wicker Sofa No broken wicker. Nice level back with flat solid arms. Decorative cutouts in a woven block pattern. Solid and structurally sound. Better than Very Good Condition. Beautiful design front and back. 80"long, 18"deep seat, arm height at the front 25", 34"-35" high back This wicker sofa sat in my 83 yr old Mother-In-Law's basement for years. I found it pilled high with laundry, plastic shopping bags and hangers. Needless to say, I don't think she knew what she had. I made a cushion for it back in the 70's and I don't think she ever even sat on it. (It was still on the couch.) Based on what research I've done, I believe it's from the Art Deco period in the 1930's. It has a Mission style influence in the design. I don't think it's ever been painted except that it probably needs cleaned. T are 2 light colored spots on the seat, (see pictures) not sure what these are. I would venture to say that she must have also had water in her basement once as I can see a line across the base of the couch, yet the feet are not damaged. Cleaning will help, but I'll leave that to you. I can't find any flaws with the wicker or damage to the steel supports. I hope that the pictures I've listed will show you all you need. I will be more than happy to provide you with more pictures at your request. read more
