Vintage ART DECO Powder Compact LIPSTICK & HOLDER Velvet Case UNUSED *Stunning* Victorian and Vintage This is an absolutely fabulous vintage compact that was crafted in the 1920's/1930's. The compact is rectangular in shape with curved corners. It is gold in colour and has a black velvet covering on both sides, along the back hinge edge and on the edges of the interior. The inner lid has a large mirror with a bevelled edge; the interior base has a rectangular well for powder with the original filter and a circular well whch houses the original powder puff; there is also a well for the gold lipstick holder. This is a gorgeous example of a ladies beauty item from the Art Deco period. A stunning Art Deco ladies compact & lipstick holder!!! DIMENSIONS - The compact measures 5" (3 cm) long and just short of 3" (7 cm) wide. CONDITION - It is great condition and although vintage, it has been well cared. The compact is free from marks and wear and appears to have never been used. The mirror is clean and in great condition. The hinge and catch both work perfectly.
