A collection of vintage celluloid barrettes & pinback button in the original vintage storage box (included). All are in excellent condition. The original owner was born in 1911 and wore these as a small child; she is now 99 1/2! 3” x ¼” Green Rhinestone barrette has a translucent amber color on the bottom portion, solid green and amber pearl like top. This could be bakelite but that I don’t know. The green stones are shiny & all intact. 1 5/8” x ¼” Amber Rhinestone barrette has a translucent amber color on the bottom potion and outside border on the top. The top has an inset white border then a pearlized amber with 4 amber stones which are all intact. The bar has a molded curved end which is an unusual design & very cute! 1 ½” Sailor Pinback: Not sure the history on this. May have been purchased in France where they lived for several years in the early 1900’s. In perfect condition with a bit of discoloration on the pipe cleaner arms. Shipped 1st class parcel with delivery confirmation. I have been advised that the Sailor Pinback pin may well be a Shultz Bakelite pin. I cannot verify this but want to clarify that it most likely is not celluloid.
