AZAZ ART POTTERY VASE For Auction : a fantastic vintage art pottery vase, it is 8 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter. This striking vase is made of white clay with a mustard yellow grey brush glaze with varying widths of bands in black, burgundy and rust glaze in a matte finish. The surface of the vase has evenly spaced etched lines extending from the rim down the elongated neck to the top half of the bulbous body section. This artistic vase was created by the well known potter N.HENRI AZAZ who also founded the HARSA POTTERY SCHOOL AND ART CERAMIC FACTORY in BEERSHEVA, ISREAL and operated the school from 1956-1961. His pieces are collected internationally and AZAZ was also commissioned to produce a large number of pottery pieces. He was born in Berlin, Germany on October 9, 1923 and dies October 27, 2008. The bottom is signed - SSY - AZAZ - HARSA - ISRAEL - F290 - . It is in excellent used condition with no chips or cracks. FIRST LISTING Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
