With a similar body design these were Automatic Electrics answer to the Western Electric 500 desktop series so popular in the same time period (1950s - 1980s). These telephones were built with high quality parts to stand the test of time keeping them operational for many decades. This telephone is no exception and is in beautiful condition, you certainly will not find telephones being made like this anymore these days. This telephone has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, hand buffed and polished to its original luster without any blemishes, cracks or chips in the case or the handset. The telephone has been completely tested and functions 100% The original hardwired red cords are completly intact and the conversation is crstal clear on both ends of the conversation. The rotary dial spins smoothly with automatic return and the dual brass bell ringer is adjustable from loud to soft with that classic ringing sound only found in these old telephones.
