You are bidding on a Vintage Bakelite Airplane Pencil Sharpener. It measures 2-1/4" from tail to nose and 2-7/8" from wing tip to wing tip. It has some dark brown spots on it, to me they look like they are part of the Bakelite coloring but I am not certain. It has a very small chip? right at the hole w the pencil is inserted, it is not very noticable. (If you look at the last picture you can see it) It also has light scratching all over it. I tried sharpening a pencil with it, I could get it sharpened but not to a fine point. I think the blade could use a sharpening. Overall the pencil is not nearly as bad as it sounds, I would actually say that it is in great shape espescially when you consider the age. This pencil would make a great addition to a pencil sharpener, Bakelite or airplane collection. ( The crayon is not included in the auction unless you really want it, I used it to get an angle on the airplane to help with the glare) The winning bidder is to pay a "flat rate" of $5.00 for s&h to anyw in the lower 48 states.
