Offered for your consideration is a rather remarkable vintage bakelite (simichrome tested and guaranteed) beads necklace! In fifteen years of devoted searching for vintage bakelite, this is a first for me - rare translucent juicy black cherry, in a captivating facet carved bead! At first glance, this necklace appears to be black, but when held to a light, you are able to see the gorgeous translucent deep red - CHANGER beads! Simply the best! This necklace measures 29' - 30" in length: no clasp, being a slip over the head necklace. The largest main center bead measures 3/4" in length and 5/8" in diameter - graduating down to the smallest bead at 3/8" in length and 1/4" in diameter. I believe this necklace has been restrung, but it is difficult to tell as the beads are secure and in place. The beads are in great vintage condition, without chips or cracks that I could find; cleaning and polishing left up to the buyer.
