Up for auction is this nice all original, vintage RCA 45-EY-2 45 RPM Record Player. This unit has no cracks in the Bakelite. Everything is intact. The unit does turn on and all of the mechanical functions work. The record drops, the platter spins and the arm moves. However the motor does need a little "help" every once and awhile. I am sure this may be as simple as an adjustment or the replacement of a simple part. The cartridge and stylus are intact. The unit does not produce sound from the 45. However the volume works and you do get a hum whenever the contact points on the cartridge are touched. I am assuming this may be a connection problem or a cartridge problem, either being a simple fix. This item is being sold as is. With a little TLC this unit can be a beautiful addition to any collection.
