This auction is for a Ballerina Barbie on Tour Special Edition # 9613 dated 1976. DESCRIPTION : Barbie is dressed in a white satin tutu with gold trim and white ballet shoes. She wears a gold crown and carries a bouquet of red plastic roses. Included in her box are two additional dance costumes: a white and gold tulle Snowflake Fairy costume and a hot pink practice outfit comprised of a leotard, tights and pale pink ruffled tutu skirt. An instruction booklet and a white plastic stand are also included. Her box reads:” “Make her do pirouettes! Kicks ‘n splits! Beautiful! Make her dance like a prima ballerina! Make her do graceful kicks - forward and back. Twirling pirouettes. Beautiful poses - a classic arabesque. From standing to splits & back again. Lovely dancer‘s arms.” CONDITION : This doll is NRFB (Never Removed from Box) to the best of my knowledge. These boxes were not sealed from the factory, so there is no way to be sure, but there is absolutely no indication that this doll has ever been removed from it’s box. Doll is pristine and still attached to turquoise inner box liner. Box shows normal shelf wear with no tears. Has a small dent/crease on the upper right front corner, a small crease on the lower left front corner, top of box is slightly bowed. These are very minor, but need mentioning for accuracy.
