Hello, and thank you for stopping by. Vintage Russian Soviet era pressed Baltic amber brooch with three ball pendants. Very stylish. Beautiful color. Measures about 2" long, and 3/8" thick. Round amber pendants are about 1/2" in diameter. Total weight of the brooch is 11.4 g. There are some micro scratches on the stones, some few dings on the reverse side of the brooch, they are not noticeable when wearing (please, see pictures); no other defects. Good vintage wearable condition. Pressed amber is a genuine one, not bakelite or other type of man-made material. In the 1960-70s pressing of amber was not an artificial substitution, but just a method to enhance the natural beauty of the stones; this technology doesn't exist anymore. Instead they melt amber, add color, inclusions, etc. That's why pressed Baltic amber items from 1960-1970 are very collectible now.
