We stumbled across a really cool local estate sale that had a ton of vintage 'movie industry' memorabilia. The item up for auction was affiliated with a radio show in the 30's called "H-BAR-O" with Bobby Benson. I did some 'googling' and found out that this particular badge was made around 1933 and is brass with enamel. It is about 2 3/4 across and has a 'loop' type closure on the pin back. It reads, "H-BAR-O 808 RANGER" It is in very nice shape for its' age! There are a few scratches on the front to the enamel (please see photos for exact condition). But all and all it makes a great impression, the colors are bold and vibrant and again, for the age of this 'Ranger Badge' it must have been in storage all these years, besides the scratches on the front, again please see the photos, the back has some discoloration and could probably use a cleaning, but beyond that it is really in nice shape, very shiny and bright! We believe in leaving all items in "As Found Condition", we have seen things ruined by improper cleaning (or cleaning an item period, lowering the 'historical' value or messing up the 'patina'), so we leave items to their new owners to decide how and/or IF they should be cleaned at all. We figure that way whomever gives the item a new home will know how to properly care for it! We have found in our travels, that we really read more
