I have, for many, many years now, been working steadily to build up my wonderful collection of mostly vintage Barbie, Skipper, Midge, & Francie items. My dolls are beautiful. Most of my outfits for my dolls are complete, and I've worked very hard to achieve this goal. It's heartbreaking to me to have to sell them. My Barbie collection is very special to me. I'm quite a fastidious and perfectionistic person, which shows in just about everything that I do. Most of my items are in extremely excellent condition-many, to most of them, are near mint(NM) to M(mint). I will tell you if something doesn't meet my standards of NM. I know that I'm being slow to get my items listed, but being as methodical as I am, it takes me time. I check my messages and emails many times throughout the day, and often into the late evening, so please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you might have. UP FOR BID IN THIS AUCTION is this absolutely gorgeous turquoise silk sheath dress with matching Japan open toe heels. This stunning dress was part of the 1962-1963 Fashion Pak. This fabulous vintage classic, done in silk shantung, was produced in seven colors. The black and red are the most rare, followed by white and gold. The form fitting dress has a bow in the front center of the collar, and a zipper closure in the back. Each of these dresses came with matching Japan open toe heels. Doesn't my gorgeous #4 ponytail look stunning in this particular dress-see how the turquiose plays up the color of her eyes! As you look at my photos, you will be able to see that the seam on one shoulder is coming apart slightly, though it doesn't really show unless you try to pull it apart, as I have done. If the winner wants me to, I will sew this for you(I am a seamstress, and can easily do so if you ask). I see no other damage to this dress other than the slight separation at the shoulder seam I just mentioned. There appears to be NO SNAGS, NO RIPS OR TEARS, AND NO SOIL OR DINGINESS. The color is beautiful, vibrant and bright. The bow at the bodice is perfect, and it has its intact tulle lining at the arm holes. Barbie certainly looks sleek and chic in this elegant turquiose sheath. Doesn't my beautiful gal look lovely in this outfit? (Just a reminder, my Barbie is not part of this auction). Don't you just love the elegant richness of the dress? The open toe heels are NM. And as you can tell, your Barbie will look stunning in this outfit, and certainly turn Ken's head, don't you think? Barbie went shopping today at the Fashon Shop. Didn't she do well with her wonderful purchase? She was thinking of Ken when she bought this, and really wants to wow him! (Again, let me remind you that my Barbie isn't a part of this auction.) THE ONLY ITEMS THAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON ARE THE DRESS & SHOES! This outfit will come to you laying on a piece of 4ply white archival matboard which has been slipped inside of a clear, sealable plastic bag to protect it.
