Vintage Barbie 1960's "Silver Fox or Mink Faux Fur Coat Cape" Excellent Plus The doll is not included in this auction. Here is an interesting Barbie item; a very well made silver Faux fur cape. It might be a faux fox or mink. I am not a fur expert. I got this cape and two others, which are a different color and listed separately, from a big lot of vintage Barbie items. This cape is not home made, because I have seen others just like this on ebay before. There is no tag, but it is extremely well made. One collector had one of these capes for sale on ebay, and she claimed it was a Japanese exclusive. But I have no proof to claim that. I have the "Barbie in Japan" book, and this is not in there, and like I said, there is no tag. But maybe you know more than I do about it. This cape is close to near mint. There are no holes or stains. The material is bright, crisp and unfaded. A very nice, and rare, silver faux fur cape for your vintage Barbie; just in time for your winter dioramas. Don't miss out!
