This is a beautiful Art Deco Bates & Bacon watch chain with a locket fob for a picture. The lovely serpentine chain is 10" long from the clasp to the filigree joiner that connects to the 3/4" fob in one direction and a buttonhole chain and bar in the other. I'm not sure of the metal content but Bates & Bacon, founded in 1897, was known for 10k gold filled jewelry and that looks about right. It is marked Bates & Bacon on the clasp and the inside of the locket has a stylized B&B stamp inside facing the picture mount. The outside of the locket is beautifully etched with an Art Deco design and has beautiful bar details. It is hinged on one side and has a tiny button to open the locket. This is from a railroad town and very likely belonged to a railroader. It's a very unusual piece and would make a great Father's Day gift. I do my best to disclose all flaws, but this is a vintage item, sold as is, so please ask all questions or request additional photos before bidding. Combined shipping available on multiple items to the same address.
