Vintage Bell System Oak Stool by Putnam Rolling Ladder Company.The top step measures approximately 12” square, base approximately 14” square and stool is approximately 13” high.The stool bears the “Bell System” named branded on the step.Piece of Americana history. Bell System solid oak stepping stool used by the splicers and repairmen working in the field. This hardwood stool was crafted by the Putnam Rolling Ladder Co. for Bell Telephone Systems and used by phone system installers to reach high connections.The stool is in decent shape and shows character of age, use & wear.
