Antique bench mount face vise, all wood. The 23-inch 4 TPI wooden screw is in decent condition; has a crack and a few chips, all towards the furthest end. The vise is a HAMMACHER SCHELMMER & CO., NEW YORK product (see second pic). The vise and screw started life separately. I bought the screw and nut w/ the intention of building a vise. Before getting around to it, I found the vise, minus its screw. To mate them I turned a wood bushing to reduce the hole in the vise. You can see it best in the last pic. I have had it mounted on a secondary bench for the last five years, but have dismantled the bench to recover shop space. The vise jaw is 12" x 5" x 2" and the vise is 25" long. When mounted, the bench skirt forms the rear jaw.Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Shipping weight will be about 10 lb.
