Miss Faye, a dear family friend has asked my help in pre-spring cleaning. Her basement is chock full of goodies. After a few husbands, kids, and a hobby of remodeling old houses (she's done 4 I believe), she's doing the mid-life pare down (I laugh, she's almost 60 and doing 70) I am now near an expert on any of her stuff, so I'll describe what she's selling to the best of my ability, spiced with her notes and provenance ... Up for bid is a vntage hand mirror. This is a beautiful mirror with beveled edge. The frame and handle are wood. The mirror itself measures almost 5 X 3 inches. Including the frame, the measurements are - about 9 X 3.5 inches. T are no breaks or chips on the mirror. The wood trim around the inside edge of the mirror is half off- the mirror is loose but still secure, and I just wanted to note for accuracy. As for the glass, t are a few little dark specks which is common to old mirrors, and the edge is cloudy too. If the new owner fixes the trim, the cloudiness wouldn't be seen. (sorry about the glare spot in the picture- that isn't t normally) On the back of the mirror, the wood has a little roughness, and t is a 1mm hole drilled in the handle- for a hanging cord , I assume.
